As we are already at an altitude of around eleven thousand feet it was necessary for us to have another day’s stay here for acclimatization. So after breakfast later in the morning we all the nineteen along with Badri and Kedar went for a trekking. Though it was some steep climb up on the hill all of us were able to manage it well.
This was our first official test to see whether we have the stamina to continue the trip further. As it was a very bright sunny day it was not cold at all. The trekking was for about two to two and a half an hours. Our Diamox and water treatment were working well. As mentioned earlier during trekking and even after coming to the hotel room we continued talking about Ramayana and Bhagawatha. Most of the time Subhash and Pankaj were listeners and occasionally some other members also participated.
